Three of Malcolm X‘s daughters filed a lawsuit against the FBI, CIA and Unique York Police Division on Friday, alleging that the three companies took fragment in the 1965 assassination of the civil rights leader.

The $100 million lawsuit filed in Ny federal court alleges that the companies had been mindful about threats on the activist’s lifestyles, actively encouraged a couple of of those threats and lined up the degree of their involvement in his assassination after the truth.

“We factor in that they all conspired to assassinate Malcolm X, one of many top doubtless belief leaders of the Twentieth century,” attorney Ben Crump said at a press conference asserting the filing.

In a witness of the lawsuit filed earlier this year, X’s daughter Ilyasah Shabazz said the companies “conspired with every varied and with varied folk and acted, and didn’t behave, in the kind of mode as to raise concerning the wrongful death of Malcolm X.” 

Three men had been arrested and convicted of the activist’s fracture, though two of the lads had been exonerated in 2021 after an investigation found that prosecutors, the FBI and the NYPD withheld proof from the defendants. Malcolm X’s family claims in their lawsuit that this obfuscation is what delayed their filing. 

“This cloak-up spanned a long time, blocking off the Shabazz family’s safe admission to to the real fact and their splendid to pursue justice,” Crump shared in an announcement.
